*Subject: Consent for Collaboration on Workshop for Digitization of Santali Books*
Dear Sir,
Greetings from the Wikimedia Santali Community.
We sincerely thank you for your letter dated 09/06/2026 expressing interest in organizing a collaborative workshop on the digitization of Santali books. We appreciate the initiative taken by the Department of Santali, Visva-Bharati, to promote the preservation and digital accessibility of Santali literature.
We are pleased to extend our *full consent* for this collaborative workshop. The Wikimedia Santali Community will be happy to support the programme by:
- Providing *book scanners* required for the digitization workshop. - Deputing experienced *resource persons from our Wikipedia/Wikimedia Santali team* to conduct hands-on training on book scanning, proofreading, OCR, formatting, and Wikimedia projects. - Assisting participants in understanding the process of preserving Santali literature through open knowledge platforms.
To ensure smooth planning and logistics, we kindly request that the *final dates of the workshop be confirmed at least 15–20 days in advance*. This will enable us to arrange the required equipment, coordinate the availability of resource persons, and make necessary travel and accommodation arrangements.
We look forward to working closely with the Department of Santali, Visva-Bharati, and making this workshop a meaningful step towards preserving and promoting Santali literary heritage.
With warm regards,
*R. Ashwani Banjan Murmu*
