This is the last time you will be hearing from me about this survey, I promise =).

So far we have received a record response of more than 580 responses already! However, as excited as we are about such an improved response rate for this survey, we still have not heard back from any of Wikimedians of Santali Language User Group’s members. This is the final stretch and there are now only 5 days to go before closing the survey, and we would love to get you going and encourage your community to participate so that their voices can be represented. 

This year, we are providing this membership survey in 10 languages selected based on requests from previous survey iterations. As you are already aware, we have shared a sampling toolkit that you can use to randomly select your community members who can take the Experiential survey. We ask that you help us with this survey as follows:

1. If needed, invite your members to update their contact information, or create a membership list if you do not already have one.

2. Use the sampling toolkit to randomly select members to take the survey.

3. Send to your list of randomly selected members the following survey message.

Hello affiliate member

You have been randomly selected to participate in the 2021 Affiliate membership survey, conducted by the Wikimedia Foundation. This survey is about understanding the experiences of Wikimedia affiliate members. Please decide how you wish to take the survey as follows:

• You can take the survey anonymously, without sharing your email address. Please note, however, that you will have to make sure not to close your browser until you finish your survey. Click the following link to take this survey anonymously.

• You can also take the survey directly via a personalized link sent to your email address. To do this the Wikimedia Foundation will ask for your email address to send you a personalized link. With the personalized link you will be able to return to your survey and update your responses or request a new link to retake the survey should you wish to change your responses. The survey will take about 20 - 30 minutes to complete at one go. You can find questions asked in the survey on meta if you want to read or download these before starting the actual survey.

4. On this, each member will be given the choice to receive the survey by direct email, or to take it anonymously.

Be sure to keep an eye on the affiliate experiential data survey sampling target scoreboard on meta to see whether you have reached the target of random respondents. We may send you a request to reach out to more members within two weeks if your affiliate response target is still not reached by then.
