Hello, I would like to bring to your attention a situation where there are clear violations of the principles of WP, and abuse of power by some sysops. There are some members (mainly Spanish) who have embarked upon a campaign of vandalism on the Spanish version of the “Gibraltar” article. They are using this article to spread Spanish anti-Gibraltar propaganda, lies, and insults to the people of Gibraltar. Even when posts are true, they are as far from NPOV as they can get.

Gibraltarians have been accused variously of being smugglers, money launderers, we all live from illegal and/or illicit activity, we ignore EU law, we have stolen land from Spain (and territorial waters, and airspace), the British troops have even been accused of ethnic cleansing!

WP is not a discussion forum, certainly less an anti-Gibraltar forum. If this is what these people want they should find another forum for it. When I have edited text I have been accused of “vandalism” simply because I do not share the Spanish “vision” (or delusion). They act as if they had formed a “tribe” or bully group, and between them seem to think that they somehow “own” the article and only those editions that match their views are allowed.

As if this wasn’t enough 3 sysops in particular, Dodo, Ecemaml, & Sanbec are abusing their position and blocking my access. Their attitude and behaviour is totally unacceptable.

I request help from anyone able to, as serious violations of WP policy are being committed by them. I request that these people be told that they do not have the right to “own” WP articles, nor unjustifiably block a user just because he shares differing views to you. No doubt they will invent some excuse to justify their actions, but there is no justification.
