How about restricting the press release to foreign languages? Doubling German users is not that heavy like doubling English users.
Well the non-English versions are going to be released a week before the English one either way. The big thing I'm waiting for is the server upgrades. As soon as that happens we should go ahead and distribute the non-English press releases (with the English version following a week later).

Hello all, Some idea of WikiSyntax :
<<foo>> (<center>foo</center>) <<foo<< (<div align="left">foo</div>)
foo>> (<div align="right">foo</div>)
My first thought is "YUCK! presentational!" could be useful for images, but I think we might be using table markup for those. Not sure.
^^foo^^ (foo) __foo__ (foo)
already been suggested, but I'm not sure what was decided

Do someone know where this discussion was taking place ? I didn't found a [[WikiSyntax]] page on the meta, perhaps it's a good idea to create (if it don't already exist somewhere).

On meta: [[Wikitax]] and [[Simple ideology of Wikitax]].

A fundraising proposal!?

That was my first reaction on seeing the titles... I think people's obsession with rendering everything WP-related as Wiki<relevant word missing its first syllable> should be kept in check on this one. Especially given that it's utterly unintuitive- someone searching for WikiSyntax (as started this thread) would have no reason to think of looking in 'Wikitax'...

I don't think those pages are about wiki markup. They are one person's particular ideas on wiki markup. And IIRC they are rather weird.
I suggest you make a new page called [[Wiki markup]].

They are weird, yes, but the question asked was whether there were existing pages on meta about this. I'd rather see them get reused, myself...
