Speaking of which. I am wondering to what extent COPPA applies to
Wikipedia, and whether there is any legal risk for Wikimedia if
American children under 13 years of age use Wikipedia without their
parents' consent?
LiveJournal have, for a long time, evaded the problem by simply
prohibiting young children from using LiveJournal. Nowadays they
allow it, but only if they receive evidence of their parents' consent.
I'm not familiar with COPPA. What does it stand for? I also have no
memory of evr visiting Live Journal.
Still, whether children connect to the site is a family matter. When
someone says that he is not a child, who can tell the difference?
