Yes, we should shut those voices. They were
outvoted, and not by a
small margin. Sorry if this is a bit arrogant, but I just think
that those who have major problems with Puzzle Sphere wouldn't
know a good logo if it came up to them and winked while wiggling
its hips. And for you graphic designers who also hate it, well,
maybe you should get into a new line of work. Puzzle Sphere Rules!
It looks so great on the Main Page-- just the right touch of
graphic interest, perfect reflection of the colored tables.
It looks okay on the English mainpage (hope we don't change that, other
colors would be a horrible contrast), but I'm not so sure about other
'pedias with different main pages. And the individual ratification
process is indeed a bit problematic.
Which raises a point - as we develop more alternate skins, we may well
need variants of the logo to match them. Either that or the logo needs to
be more monochromatic.
I definitely understood that the logo was to be unified across all
'pedias. Also, someone mentioned that Wikimedia Foundation did not have a
logo, but for the foundation to have a logo anything other than the united
wikipedias one would be ridiculous.
