In a cursory google search, as noted before, I did not find any such
release. In addition, Sonja has not contributed to tokipona: for quite
some time, I did not realise she was even a contributor at all before
today, in fact I had reason to believe she wasn't: a day or two ago
she made some sort of loose claim of non-involvement on #wikipedia. If
Sonja implied something (the way I remember it, she said it
explicitly).
Also at the time I was under the mistaken impression that policy for
copyvios was replace first, ask questions later.
As noted before, I really thought there was a genuine problem, and
because of a misconception I had about policy regarding copyrighted
materials, I thought that it was my duty to fix it. Remember, copyvio
notices are for suspected copyvios, and I did suspect a copyvio.
I realise now that perhaps I should've investigated more before I took
action, but at the time it seemed urgent because of my policy
misgivings which I have noted before.
I realise that I have wasted the time of a few individuals who work
very hard for Wikipedia. For that wasted time, I am sorry.

May I just remind everyone that the status of Toki
Pona as a copyrighted
language, assuming that languages are in fact copyrightable, does not
preclude its also being licensed under the GFDL. As Sonja Kisa is the
creator of the language and, as I understand it, the primary contributor
on the Toki Pona Wikipedia, I would suggest that she has effectively
licensed Wikipedia to use the language, even if she has a copyright.
It's exactly the same as any of us who retain copyright in anything we
submit on Wikipedia.
