Hoi, At one time the censor decided to chop of the "nasty" bits from Roman and Greek statues, the Vatican museum proves how much damage censors have done in the past. The good news is that this is in your face censorship. I hope that this shoots these nasties in the foot by providing a backlash against these indiscriminate censorship. At the same time, there is a good opportunity for people to realise how important Wikipedia is to them and this may benefit the WMF financially and the fight against indiscriminate censorship. One possible reason: these other sites are run by powerful corporations with armies of lawyers.
That, or IWF is too dumb to realize that a album cover can exist on a site other than Wikipedia, To be honest to only block the site that the issued report was about when the concerned image is a album/cd cover is pretty stupid in my books.
