Another problem is that people regularly put things under the wrong 
license ie claiming things are public domain when they are not.

We certainly need sources though.
Sources we absolutely must have. I still think it would be simpler, and better, to not provide choices of license. We don't need to have people engaging in the amateur practice of law any more than they already do.
