Putting images under a "for wikipedia use only" has a name. It is
called a "copyright". So, in creating a tag "for wikipedia use only"
to tag your pictures, you are specifically putting copyrighted
content in Wikipedia. This is not alright as our goal is to provide
"free" content.
Stephen Forrest has already outlined to you that "copyrighted" is not
what you mean. I would like to emphasise further, that absolutely
everything -- and in particular the text of all articles -- is
"copyrighted" unless it is public domain. You need to realise that this
is important because without it, it would not be possible for us to use
legal means to enforce the freeness of the content. If the text was not
copyrighted, it would be legal for anyone to claim the content as their
own and never mention the authors or the GFDL.
By contrast, Wikinews has chosen to allow only public-domain material,
thereby requiring contributors to forgo their copyrights.
