Judging from the level of technical insight in the average
Slashdot comment and the performance of the Wikipedia website
during 2002 and 2003, it would be fair to assume that both the
Slashdot crowd and the Mediawiki developers consist of art
students who have yet to learn some programming.
Fortunately, the sluggish Wikipedia performance can and has been
compensated by adding hardware. I wish the same was true for the
quality of Slashdot postings.
