I fully endorse your views and would certainly make a strong pitch on the matter.
At the end of the day, this competition is only a pilot project. Challenge is to scale this activity to create an urge in the students to use computers to assimilate knowledge and form a habit of writing it down in a formal structure. But we can cross the bridge when we reach there.
In any case, we would be hardly be able to make a dent in the overall mindset of the students, conditioned by several, contradictory and varying influences.But , at this point, that is putting th ecart before the horse.
Let us make a beginning and the rest will follow.

સ્વૈચ્છિક રીતે હોવી જોઈએ. શાળાઓમાં મહદંશે એવું બનતું હોય છે કે શિક્ષકો પોતાની પસંદના વિદ્યાર્થિઓને સ્પર્ધાઓમાં ભાગ લેવા મોકલતા હોય છે, વિકિપીડિયા રસનો વિષય છે, બાળકને રસ ના હોય તો અને તે ફક્ત યાંત્રિક રીતે શિક્ષકની મરજી મુજબ જ કામ કરે તો તે ફક્ત એક સ્પર્ધાથી વધુ કશું નહી બની શકે. જાણું છું કે આ અઘરું છે. પણ જો શક્ય હોય તો બાળકોને તેમની જાતે આગળ આવીને પોતાનું નામાંકન
કરવા દેવું અને આપણે ફક્ત ૨૦ જ બાળકોને પસંદ કરવાની વાત કરીએ છીએ એટલે એ અગત્યનું છે સાચા અર્થમાં રસ ધરાવતા બાળકોનો સમાવેશ આ ૨૦માં થઈ જાય.
આ કાર્યમાં મને કોઈપણ રીતે શામેલ થવા મળશે તો હું આનંદ અનુભવીશ.
