This is to invite you to a
collaborative initiative of Sanhita, Gender Resource Centre and
Wikimedia Foundation on the issue of Women, Information &
Technology.
The initiative aims at exploring
the use Bangla Wiki to make information on women's rights &
issues easily accessible to existing & potential users.
Sanhita is inviting representatives
from various education institutes to a brainstorming session to develop
strategies of involving institutes and young women & students with
this process. Sanhita also looks forward to motivating reasearchers,
academicians, women rights activists to contribute to Bangla
Wiki thereby creating resources on gender issues in the Bengali
language!
This workshop will be held on March 18, 2011 at the Seagull Art & Media Resource Centre located at Bhawanipur, Calcutta.
