Dear friends, here are the minutes of the Jorhat wikipedia medicine workshop held on 24th April 2012. <br><br>* The workshop started at 3 pm, half an hour late than the scheduled time. Around 100 students along with 10 faculty members were present.<br>
* The FAQ booklets were distributed first.<br>* After the welcome speech by Gitartha Bordoloi, the Vice principal of Jorhat Medical College spoke briefly about the importance of such workshops and hoped that similar programs will be arranged in near future.<br>
* Gitartha Bordoloi introduced the Wikipedia and Assamese wikipedia projects to the participants. The general principles, importance of Assamese wikipedia, benefits of writing, editing guidelines etc were explained in brief.<br>
* The Wikimedia sister projects were introduced to the participants.<br>* After that the Wikipedia medicine project was introduced and its aims and importance were explained. A short list of most important medicine articles were shown to them after the salient points important to a medicine article, about writing style etc were told.<br>
