With the Foundation being somewhat conservative and it proving difficult to get a board resolution fast-tracked Danny and Chad over on Veropedia have started a petition against the EU copyright extension proposal.

This isn’t so much something that impacts Wikinews more than Commons and Wikipedia, but I’d like to think when I look up the [[1812 overture]] on Wikipedia I can get to listen to a version that has been done with a full orchestra as opposed to some guy in his parent’s basement with a computer/synthesizer. I want to hear those cannons go boom!
