എന്റെ വളർച്ച കുറഞ്ഞ മനസ്സിൽ തോന്നിയതോരോന്ന് വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതിനു മാപ് ചോദിക്കുന്നു.

കൂടുതൽ വിവാദങ്ങളിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടാൻ താൽപ്പര്യമില്ല.

ആ പരിപാടി ചാപറ്റർ നടത്തിയ രീതിയിൽ കുഴപ്പങ്ങളൊന്നുമില്ല് എന്ന് കരുതണ്ട.  അതിന്റ ഫീഡ്‌ബാക് ചാപ്ടറിന് നൽകിയിട്ടൂണ്ട്.

ആര് നല്‍കി. ഈ വേദിയില്‍ അത് ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്തോ? നല്കിയെങ്കില്‍ അതും ഇപ്പറഞ്ഞപോലെ സമൂഹത്തെ മറികടക്കലല്ലേ?(എന്ന് ഞാന്‍ കരുതുന്നില്ല) അപ്പൊ അതിനൊന്നും കുഴപ്പമില്ല.

സജീവമായ ഒരു വിക്കി സമൂഹത്തെ മറികടന്ന് നിക്ഷിപ്ത താൽപ്പര്യങ്ങൾക്കോ അല്ലാതെയോ, അല്ലാതെ എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞാൽ ചാപ്ടറിനെ കൂടുതൽ ജനകീയമാക്കൽ എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഒക്കെ കാര്യങ്ങൾക്ക് വിക്കിപീഡീയ അകാദമി എന്ന പേരിൽ പരിപാടി നടത്തുമ്പോൾ ഈ പറഞ്ഞ എതിർപ്പുകൾ ഉണ്ടാവുക സ്വാഭാവികം.
വിക്കിപീഡിയ ഒരു പൊതുസ്വത്താണ്. അതിന്റെ മേല്‍ ആര്‍ക്കും മേല്‍ക്കൈയില്ല എല്ലാവരും സമന്മാര്‍. എതിര്‍പ്പുകള്‍ സ്വാഭാവികമായാലും സ്വഉദ്ദേശമായാലും അത് വിക്കിപീഡിയയ്ക്ക് നല്ലതല്ല.


പക്ഷേ, ഞങ്ങൾ എന്തും ചെയ്യും വേണമെങ്കിൽ വിക്കിസമൂഹം അറിഞ്ഞ് അവിടേ എത്തി ചെയ്യണമെങ്കിൽ ചെയ്തോ എന്ന് പറയുന്നത് ദഹിക്കാൻ പറ്റത്തില്ല.
ഞങ്ങള്‍ എന്തും ചെയ്യും.... ഈഞങ്ങള്‍ ആരാണ്. ഈ പരിപാടി ഈ മെയിലിങ് ലിസ്റ്റില്‍ അറിയിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ രമേഷേട്ടന്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പടെ ആരും ഒരു നിര്‍ദേശവും നല്‍കിയില്ല. പരിപാടി രമേഷേട്ടനും അറിഞ്ഞതല്ലേ. വേണ്ട നിര്‍ദേശങ്ങള്‍ നല്‍കരുതായിരുന്നോ?


ഇനി മറ്റൊരു കാര്യം വിക്കി അകാദമി നടത്തുന്നതിന്റെ ഉദ്ദേശം തന്നെ, മിനിമം ഒരു സജീവ ഉപയോക്താവിനെ എങ്കിലും വിക്കിക്ക് ലഭിക്കുക എന്നതു തന്നെയാണ്.
അതു കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ, അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന എലാവരുടെയും പേരുവിവരങ്ങൾ ചേർക്കുകയും പരിപാടിയുടെ അവലോകം ചേർക്കുന്നതും നല്ലതാണ്. അത് ഇതു വരെ ചാപ്ടറിന്റെ പേജിൽ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.

അതിനു ഏറ്റവും നല്ലത് മലയാളം വിക്കിപീഡിയയിൽ ഒരു താൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കുക എന്നതാണ്. അത് പോലും ഉണ്ടാക്കാതെ പിന്നെ ചുമ്മാ പേരിനു വേണ്ടി വിക്കിഅകാദമി നടത്തിയിട്ട് ആർക്ക് പ്രയോജനം.  ചുമ്മാ പൊക്കി പറയാം വിക്കി അകാദമി നടത്തി എന്ന്.
പണ്ട് രമേഷേട്ടന്‍ തന്നെ ഒരു താളുണ്ടാക്കിയപ്പോഴുണ്ടായ കോലാഹലങ്ങള്‍ ഓര്‍ക്കുന്നു. പിന്നെ 29 ആം തീയതി ഈ പരിപാടിയുടെ മെയില് കണ്ടപ്പോള്‍ രമേശേട്ടന് താളുണ്ടാക്കിക്കൂടായിരുന്നോ? എന്തേ ചെയ്തില്ല? പിന്നെ 70 ഓളം പേര്‍ പങ്കെടുത്ത ഈ പരിപാടി നല്ല വിജയമായിരുന്നു. 7 പേര്‍ക്കേ പുതിയ ഉപഭോക്താവാകാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞുള്ളൂ. ഒട്ടുമിക്ക ആളുകളും വിക്കി എഡിറ്റു ചെയ്തു. പിന്നെ സ്വന്തം പേര് പൊക്കനാണ് ഡിറ്റിയും, ക്യുസാറ്റും, വിക്കി ച്യാപ്റ്ററും ഈ പരിപാടി നടത്തിയത് എന്ന് രമേശേട്ടന് തോന്നുന്നെങ്കില്‍ അത് മനസ്സിന്റെ വളര്‍ച്ചക്കുറവാണ്. മുകളില്‍ ഏത് സംഭാഷണത്തിലാണ് ഇങ്ങനെ പൊക്കിപറഞ്ഞത്.

പക്ഷേ, ഞങ്ങൾ എന്തും ചെയ്യും വേണമെങ്കിൽ വിക്കിസമൂഹം അറിഞ്ഞ് അവിടേ എത്തി ചെയ്യണമെങ്കിൽ ചെയ്തോ എന്ന് പറയുന്നത് ദഹിക്കാൻ പറ്റത്തില്ല.

പ്രിയ ജ്യോതിസ് ചേട്ടാ,
പരിപാടി നടത്തുന്നതിന് മുമ്പാണ് ഈ ലിസ്റ്റില്‍ ഇട്ടത്. അല്ലാതെ കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടല്ല. ആ പരിപാടിക്ക് പരമാവധി പ്രചരണം നല്‍കണം എന്നും പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. അപ്പോള്‍ മലയാള വിക്കി സമൂഹത്തെ അറിയിക്കാതെയാണ് പരിപാടി നടത്തിയത് എന്നത് വസ്തുതാപരമല്ല. 

മറ്റൊരു വിക്കി അക്കാദമി എന്‍.ഐ.ടി കാലിക്കട്ടില്‍ നടന്നിരുന്നു. ആ പരിപാടിയും സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചത് മലയാള വിക്കി സമൂഹമല്ല. അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചും കാര്യമായ ചര്‍ച്ച നമ്മുടെ ലിസ്റ്റില്‍ നടന്നില്ല. ആ പരിപാടിയെക്കുറിച്ച് ഇതുപോലത്തെ ആരോപണങ്ങള്‍ ഒന്നും കണ്ടില്ല.(എനിക്ക് ആരോപണങ്ങള്‍ ഒന്നുംമില്ല) ആ പരിപാടിയും ഈ പരിപാടിയും തമ്മില്‍ ഒരേയൊരു വ്യത്യാസമേ ഉള്ളൂ. അതില്‍ ക്ലാസ്സെടുത്തത് നെതയും, വിശ്വേട്ടനും അഭിയുമൊക്കെയാണ്. ഇവിടെ ക്ലാസ്സെടുത്ത് ഞാനും, ഡിറ്റിയും, അനിലേട്ടനുമാണ്. ഞങ്ങള്‍ ഇടപെട്ട് ഇതിന് മുമ്പ് നടത്തിയ രണ്ട് പരിപാടികളെയും കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു. ഓരോ പ്രാവശ്യവും ഓരോ കാരണങ്ങള്‍. ശരിയായ കാരണം ഞങ്ങള്‍ ക്ലാസ്സെടുത്തതാണോ എന്ന് ഞാന്‍ സംശയിക്കുന്നു.

ഇന്ത്യയിലെ വിക്കിമീഡിയ സംരംഭങ്ങളെയും വിക്കി സമൂഹങ്ങളെയും സഹായിക്കുക എന്നതാണ് വിക്കിമീഡിയ ഇന്ത്യ കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റിയുടെ ലക്ഷ്യം. ഒപ്പം പ്രധാന വിക്കിപീഡിയയായ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് വിക്കിയിലഴുതാനാഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവരെ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുകയും അതിന്റെ ലക്ഷ്യമാവണം. (ആ പണി ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഭാഷാ വിക്കി സമൂഹങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റെടുക്കില്ലല്ലോ/ഏറ്റെടുക്കേണ്ടതില്ലല്ലോ...അത് ചെയ്യാൻ ആരെങ്കിലും വേണമല്ലോ)

ഭാഷാവിക്കികളും ഇംഗ്ലീഷിന്റെ വളർച്ചയെ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കണം. ഇന്ത്യയെ - നമ്മളെ - ഇംഗ്ലീഷില് അവതരിപ്പിക്കണമല്ലോ....

വിക്കി മീഡിയ ഇന്ത്യ അതിന്റെ ഈ ജോലി വിവിധ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽ ചെയ്യാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുമ്പോൾ കുസാറ്റ് പ്രശ്നം പോലെ ഉണ്ടാകുകയും ചെയ്യും.
ഇംഗ്ലീഷിൽ അവതരിപ്പിക്കണം എന്നതുകൊണ്ടാണ് (ഫലത്തിൽ അങ്ങനെയാവില്ല നടക്കുന്നതെങ്കിലും) ആരും തന്നെ ചാടിക്കയറി, അക്കാദമി ഞാൻ നയിക്കാം എന്ന് പറയാത്തതും. ആടൂരേക്ക് ഇതുവരെ ആളെ കിട്ടത്തത് കണ്ടാൽ അത് മനസ്സിലാകുമല്ലോ....

അപ്പോ വികാരപരമായല്ലാതെ വിചാരപരമായി ഈ പ്രശ്നം പരിഹരിക്കാൻ വേണ്ട ചർച്ച നടക്കണം...

മലയാളത്തെ സംബന്ധിച്ചെടുത്തോളം പല ആക്റ്റീവ് എഡിറ്റേഴ്സും ചാപ്റ്ററില്‍ മെമ്പറല്ല. അതിനുള്ള പ്രധാന കാരണം ചാപ്റ്റര്‍ എന്ന ചട്ടക്കൂടില്‍ ഒതുങ്ങാതെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള അവരുടെ താല്പര്യമാകണം. അതല്ലെങ്കില്‍ അവര്‍ ഇങ്ങനെയൊരു ചാപ്റ്ററിനെക്കുറിച്ച് അറിയാത്തതാകണം. ( ചില ഫോര്‍വേഡുകളല്ലാതെ ചാപ്റ്ററിലേക്ക് ഔദ്യോഗികമായി ക്ഷണിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഒരു മെയില്‍ പോലും ഈ മെയിലിങ്ങ് ലിസ്റ്റിലേക്ക് ഇതുവരെ വന്നിട്ടില്ലെന്ന് കൂടി ഈ അവസരത്തില്‍ എഴുതട്ടെ. ) ഇതൊന്നുമല്ലെങ്കില്‍ ഒരു ചാപ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നതിനേക്കാള്‍ എത്രയോ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ ഫലപ്രദമായും ചിട്ടയായും മലയാളം കമ്യൂണിറ്റി ചെയ്യുന്ന അവസരത്തില്‍ എന്തിനാണു ചാപ്റ്റര്‍ എന്നു കരുതിയിട്ടാകണം. (പല വിക്കിപീഡിയരോടും സ്വകാര്യമായി സംസാരിച്ചതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തില്‍ എഴുതിയതാണ് മുകളിലെ ഖണ്ഡിക)

ഇന്ന് മലയാളത്തിലാണ് ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ ഏറ്റവും ആക്റ്റീവായ വിക്കിപീഡിയ കമ്യൂണിറ്റി ഉള്ളത്. അങ്ങനെയുള്ള ഒരു  കമ്യൂണിറ്റിയെ അറിയിക്കാതെ കേരളത്തില്‍ ഇത്തരം പഠനശിബിരങ്ങള്‍ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് ആശയക്കുഴപ്പമുണ്ടാക്കാനും അതുവഴി കമ്യൂണിറ്റിയെ തന്നെ തളര്‍ത്താനുമുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങളുമാണെന്ന് ഞാന്‍ കരുതുന്നു. ഈ ശ്രമങ്ങള്‍ എന്തായാലും ചാപ്റ്ററിനു ഭൂഷണമല്ല.

I absolutely second jyothis views on this.
This point I have already to Chapter while organizing the academies to the active ml community.
Why there is no focus on the community which are not active is one thing which I dont understand when chapter organising such academies.

This also looks like creating a conflict in the active community by involving such different tracks of outreach.

Mail below only tells the after-story. All it tells me that you and Anil volunteered to do this. Mail also tells me that this was sent to the project mailing list after things were arranged and students signed up.

We are not here to pick a fight, but This probably is not the most ideal way of doing it when you have a reasonably active community (including yourself) around. Our success factor and strength is our community and if you just ask, community will be able to help in many ways. Please dont feel that I am against running it under chapter's banner, as chapter is free to cover the whole country. I am just worried that chapter still feels no need to involve/ inform the local community in an event that was conducted with chapter's title in Kerala, which probably clocks high in the activity chart among Indic wikipedias. 

On the same note, since you and Anil volunteered for this, It also become your responsibility to at least inform the community in advance that such an event is being planned. I would have happily wished luck and some others may have asked if you need a hand with it. I guess that is what we call a community effort.

ക്യുസാറ്റ് വിക്കി അക്കാദമി ക്യുസാറ്റിലെ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ ആപ്ലിക്കേഷന്‍ ലാബില്‍ വച്ചു ജനു. 5 ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് 2 മുതല്‍ 5 വരെ നടന്നു. 70 ലധികം വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികളും അധ്യാപകരും പങ്കെടുത്തു. അനില്‍കുമാര്‍ കെ.വി, ഡിറ്റി മാത്യു, ശിവഹരി എന്നിവര്‍ ക്ലാസ്സുകള്‍ നയിച്ചു. പങ്കെടുത്ത എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും ഉപയോഗിക്കുവാന്‍ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറുകള്‍ ലാബില്‍ സജ്ജീകരിച്ചിരുന്നു. വിക്കിപീഡിയ ചരിത്രം,വിക്കി പരിചയവും പ്രായോഗിക പരിശീലനവും, വിക്കി നയങ്ങളെയും വിക്കിയുടെ ആധികാരികതെയും കുറിച്ചുള്ള ചര്‍ച്ച, ഭാവി പരിപാടിയായ വിക്കിപീഡിയ ഓപ്പസ്ട്രീറ്റ്മാപ്പ് പ്രൊജക്റ്റ് ആമുഖം എന്നിങ്ങനെ  4 ഭാഗമായാണ് ക്ലാസ്സുകള്‍ നടന്നത്.
