മലയാളത്തിനാനു് വിക്കി പ്രവർത്തനം വെച്ച് എറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ സ്കോളർഷിപ്പിനു് അർഹത. അതിനാൽ ആരും മടിച്ച് നിൽക്കേണ്ടതില്ല. താമസം, ഭക്ഷണം, യാത്രച്ചിലവ് (ഫ്ലൈറ്റ് ടിക്കറ്റ് അടക്കം) എല്ലാം ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്ന ഫുൾസ്കൊളർഷിപ്പാണു്.

*West = 31 (basically 14 seats for all West except Mumbai & Pune; 17 seats for Pune.Pune people need only bus travel but they require accommodation.Mumbai people dont need scholarship.)
*South = 27 (as it has larger existing active community)
In forthcoming years, figures can be increased for N, E, W, C based on the development of the communities. This is just a suggested starting point, open to debate, not yet accepted and only proposed. No consensus has been sought as yet. It is basically used for budget development & estimation as of now.

There are a very limited number of such scholarships, and it is also possible to apply for partial assistance, in case you can handle part of the costs on your own - doing so will ensure that more Wikipedians will be able to get assistance. Provisions have been made for participants from special interest groups. Applications will be welcomed until Aug 15, and the decision process will be completed by the first week of September 2011.
