ഇങ്ങനെ മെയില്‍ അയച്ചാല്‍ ബ്ലോക്ക് ചെയ്യേണ്ടി വരുമല്ലോ :-)

ഷബീര്‍ അയക്കുന്ന മെയിലുകള്‍ക്ക് എന്തോ പന്തികേടുണ്ട്. ജീമയില്‍ വഴി സെന്റ് റ്റു വെച്ച് അയച്ചാല്‍ ചിലപ്രശ്നങ്ങളുണ്ടാകുമെന്ന് കേട്ടിരുന്നു. അതാ‍ണോ ആവോ?

പയ്യന്‍സിന്റെ 0.7 പതിപ്പു് പുറത്തിറക്കുന്നു. പയ്യന്‍സ് ആസ്കി

ഫോണ്ടുകളുപയോഗിച്ചെഴുതിയ മലയാളത്തെ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ പ്രൊസസ്സിങ്ങിനു

യോജിച്ച യൂണിക്കോഡ് മലയാളത്തിലേക്കു് മാറ്റുവാനുള്ളാ ഒരു പ്രോഗ്രാമാണു്.

ഫോണ്ടു് ഡിപ്പന്റന്‍സി വളരെക്കുറച്ചുകൊണ്ടു് ലളിതമായ ഒരു മാപ്പിങ്ങ്

ഫയലിന്റെ സഹായത്തോടെ ടെക്സ്റ്റ്, പീഡിഎഫ് എന്നീ ഫോര്‍മാറ്റുകളില്‍ ആസ്കി

ഫോണ്ടുകളുപയോഗിച്ചെഴുതിയ മലയാളത്തെ ഇതു് യൂണിക്കോഡിലേയ്ക്കാക്കുന്നു.

യൂണിക്കോഡിലുള്ള ഫയലുകളെ ആസ്കി ഫോണ്ടുകള്‍ക്കു ചേര്‍ന്ന രൂപത്തിലാക്കാനും

പയ്യന്‍സ് ഉപയോഗിക്കാം



താഴെപ്പറയുന്നവയാണു് മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍

1. Python API  പിന്തുണ. പൈത്തണ്‍ പ്രോഗ്രാമുകളില്‍ പയ്യന്‍സ് API കള്‍

ഉപയോഗിക്കാനാകും http://wiki.smc.org.in/Payyans എന്ന വിക്കി പേജില്‍

വിശദാംശങ്ങളുണ്ടു്. ഈ API കളാണു് ചാത്തന്‍സ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതു്.

2. നിരവധി ബഗ്ഗുകള്‍ തിരുത്തി. പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും വ്യഞ്ജനങ്ങളുടെ

ഇടതുവശത്തുവരുന്ന സ്വരചിഹ്നങ്ങളുടെ പ്രശ്നങ്ങള്‍

3. അമ്പിളി ഫോണ്ടിനു വേണ്ടിയുള്ള മാപ്പിങ്ങ് zyxware ചെയ്തു.

ചന്തുമേനോന്റെ ഇന്ദുലേഖ എന്ന നോവലും യൂണിക്കോഡാക്കിയുരുന്നു. അതു് വിക്കി

ഗ്രന്ഥമായ ചരകസംഹിതയെ ആണു്. വളരെ ബൃഹത്തായ ഈ ഗ്രന്ഥം ഏകദേശം 19 MB

ഉണ്ടു്. പയ്യന്‍സ് ഇതു് 5 മിനിറ്റുകൊണ്ടു് മാറ്റിയെടുത്തു.
