Thanks Ajay, that is one of the many valid reasons why it is said not to stick to a particular font. That should entirely be the user's choice
Prince, the users who are into these should not always necessarily be technically knowledgeable to do these things.
Sebin, your point may be right, but that again is only a PoV. I have got a PC at home which runs on XP, there is one at my office which runs on Win7 another which runs on Win8. I sometimes switches my desktop PC at home to run on ubuntu. I might even have different PoV even between each of these PC's.
Either way, from a layman PoV, there should not be a compulsion to use a particular font. If the technology implementation is good, I am okay with that. But if ULS is insisting on using Meera, or for that matter, anything insist on me sticking to a particular product line, is of concern for me.
End of the day, wikipedia is for the majority of user public, who are not necessarily technically knowledgeable to decide on such things, and hence should not be at the mercy of a few developers or even us who are deliberating on what to be done, for a simple reason that they do not know about it.
That is akin or comparative to a situation where the social security benefit to a BPL citizen is denied because he/she who does not know what government may or may not be doing for them.
