The result of this doesn't mean that anyone who didn't get the annual "Noteworthy Wikimedian Recognition" is any less good.
Who knows there are more than one Noteworthy Wikimedians to be recognized ? Make the selection difficult for the jury ! May be Jury will have to recognize at least a handful of Wikipedians !
Please note that even Wikimania started "Wikipedian of the Year" this year.
There are many reasons of attempting this :
How many of you know all the remarkable contributors in other languages ?
Do you know all the outstanding contributors in your own language Wikipedia since its creation?
I may know some, you may know some.. Let everybody know them !
This is just such an effort to find the real gems of the Wikipedia and recognize them !
Nominate others, recognize their efforts, if you know that they have made outstanding contributions to the Movement !
Note that these are for contributions from 2001 till the end of last year ( 2010)

ഉപയോക്താക്കളെ വിക്കിപീഡിയ വിവിധ തലങ്ങളായി കാണുന്നില്ല. വിശ്വസ്തരായി വിക്കി സമൂഹം കരുതുന്ന ചില ഉപയോക്താക്കൾ സാങ്കേതികകാര്യങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യാനുള്ള സൗകര്യം മാത്രം നൽകുന്നേയുള്ളൂ.
അതൊരു അപേക്ഷികമായ വിലയിരുത്തലല്ലേ ?
ഇതിനെ ഔദ്യോഗികസ്ഥാനക്രമവുമായി താരതമ്യം ചെയ്യാനാവില്ല.
അതേപോലെ വിക്കിയിലേക്കുള്ള സംഭാവനകളെ ആദരിക്കലും ഔദ്യോഗികസ്ഥാനക്രമവുമായി താരതമ്യം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതുണ്ടോ ?
