If I had to censor you out, as  list admin I would have done without asking. Trust me, been around the block long enough and have spent the life in this world long enough to send stuff where it belongs without any hesitation.

It is not policing or anything, as community knows to self regulate with a few taps and nudges here and there. Everyone has their voice here and cutting people off or pushing things down the throat isn't always the solution. The only detrimental thing I see here is what your own attitude and words in public threads doing to yourself. One might think that having a F-U attitude is cool and great, while it is really degrading themselves in  the public.

All others here are asking you to pay a bit more courtesy and be a bit more considerate to your fellow beings. If you really have an issue with some one, it is always better to talk to them directly than making a show down in a public place like social networks and mailing lists. Think of it this way, if you were at a family gathering, say a wedding, would you be starting conversation by verbally abusing your brother or sister or parents or children, though they have been the meanest and has an attitude with an A? We can talk about being a polished audience after. There is no blind eyes here, everyone see what goes around.

Now, if we can stop wasting our time fighting over childish things, we can focus on the real issues and discussions that can help us build the sum of all knowledge.

Jyothis.

Dear Jyothis,

If you feel that my voice is detrimental to the cause of ml.wikipedia, you are free to censure me and silence me. Silencing is always an easy solution to prove the unison. I hadn't initiated a discussion in this mailing list regarding the subject in question. I would continue doing it outside the mailing list. About list etiquette, i agree with you that, my words are harsh and could be considered uncivil for a polished audience. But, I felt that the mail here by praveenp is forcible policing, dictating terms down my throat. He could have raised it rather politely as you did. To see verbal violence from my side and to keep a blind eye to the other side is not fair enough. Regarding my position vis-a-vis Deepu, I would withhold further comments from my side, provided that, he too behave in a gentlemanly manner without mixing other things while commenting on a particular issue. I hope, this clarifies my position.

Thanking you,

warm regards,

Sebin Abraham Jacob
