A note about the Changampuzha collection already published:

Those files which I had arranged and forwarded were mostly the work of a great personality, Datuk KJ Joseph.

All the credits for these contributions should go to that single person who is a celebrated VIP in Malaysia.

http://datukkjjoseph.blogspot.com/

It was this elderly man now chartering to his gracious 80s who singlehandedly typed up huge collections of Malayalam text in the early version of varamozhi called "Madhuri" with some assistance from me, Dr. Chandramohan from San Antonio, US, sam achayan (SuperVHS)  and a few others who were active in evangelizing early usage of Malayalam on the internet.

During 1998-2000, he engaged almost all of his free time (which was still at a premium away from his hyper-active socio-centric schedule), in collecting,  compiling and digitizing several major works. Among them were a huge Malayalam Dictionary - which is now slowly being added to the wiktionary, collections of Changampuzha etc., A full copy of Keralapanineeyam, and other important works of ARR Varma including bhashabhooshanam and vr^ththamanjari and more...)

By the time he was through most of those works, he, like most others in the volunteering team, were rather disappointed and exasperated in that there seemed really no one interested to take up the task of publishing them to the net on a "no profit" basis. 'Joseph Chettan'  wanted every Malayali to make use of his historic efforts, but not someone making a business out of it.

He was even worried that his hard work would all go never utilized  forever...

Sometime in 2000, I personally promised him that I will ensure, someday these books are published prominently, permanently and public on the internet so that it can be consumed by any and all Malayalees.

In fact, whatever efforts I may have spent later on the Malayalam Internet communities were mostly a means to fulfill that promise.

Certainly, ml.wikisources owes a great deal to this senior young man!

I can provide a local contact who may be able to help to get in touch with them. unfortunately, I dont have a phone number to go along with it. If anyone is in Kochi, please email me. I will give a name and location to find him.

I was in Edappally last month on my trip to India. Should have asked here if we need anything from there.

Regards,
Jyothis.
