With this year's Wiki Loves Monuments only a few days away now it is time for me to put out a call for local and WikiGnome https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiGnome volunteers.

Local volunteers can organise events in their town/city such as upload marathons, mini-Wiki Takes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Takes_Your_City events, and/or informing local newspapers of the competition. The local volunteer is free to run events as they want to.

So if you want to organise an event in your part of South Africa then please let me know so I can put it up on the website http://wikilovesmonuments.co.za/wiki/Main_Page and facebook https://www.facebook.com/WLMZA.

I am happy to be doing events in Cape Town again but I will also be doing some edit-a-thons for the Open Book festival so I am a bit stretched. So if anyone also wants to organise events in or around Cape Town then please feel free to do so and let me know.
