Thanks David, I have updated the prizes template with the following prizes which was discussed on the WLM 2013 grant page on meta.
A total of R20,000 has been budgeted for an approved for prizes for WLM 2013. Like last year the prizes will be given in the form on vouchers from an Internet based camera supplier with a strong presence in South Africa. This means that it is likely that we will use vouchers from
SA Camera again.
We also have been pledged money for prizes for the Western Cape specifically from Heritage Western Cape. However that money has not yet come through so I am reluctant to put that prize up until that has been resolved.
The national prizes for best picture are:
- R7,500 worth of camera equipment
- R5,000 worth of camera equipment
- R2,500 worth of camera equipment
National prize for the participant that submits the most uploads is R3000 worth of camera equipment
This means that there is R2,000 for an additional prize. I am open to suggestions on what this prize should be given for. Isla, do you have any suggestions? I know we have talked about this in the past.
