There's already a WikimediaZA Twitter account -

There's also a Facebook group (I rebranded the 2008 Wikimania bid
group as a generic Wikimedia South Africa group afterwards) which I
administer. I would suggest closing the group and moving to a
Facebook page rather, if it's still wanted, as well as Google Plus
group.
Start working on local events programme

I am happy to help with ideas on this, and participate where
possible with Cape Town events.
