Hello everyone
Wiki loves Africa photographic competition began on the 15th of February
2022 and will run till the 15th April 2022. Wikimedia South Africa is
running its own leg of the competition.
"Wiki Loves Africa'' is an annual contest where anyone across Africa can
contribute media that relates to that year's theme to Wikimedia Commons
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:Wikimedia_Commons>for use on Wikipedia
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:Wikipedia> and other project websites of
the Wikimedia Foundation. Wiki Loves Africa encourages participants to
contribute media (photographs, video, and audio) that illustrate the
specific theme for that year. Each year the theme changes. Each year's
theme is chosen by the community to be a universal, visually-rich, and
culturally-specific topic (for example, markets, rites of passage,
festivals, public art, cuisine, natural history, urbanity, daily life,
notable persons, etc). You are encouraged to submit any photos of'*Home and
Habitat
<https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Africa_2022/Theme> *in
South Africa between 15th February and 15h April 2022. By submitting your
photos to the competition, you share homes and habitats in South Africa
with the rest of the world to enjoy through the internet.
I am sending this email to you all for those who have a passion for
photography. The more people with a passion for photography driven by the
passion of the theme that know about the competition the better. This
competition can be great for aspiring photographers, photography students,
or anyone who is interested in photography, but it is still open to anyone
who wants to partake in the competition.
Please see the link

on
how to enter the competition
We have an upcoming event for the competition please let me know if there
is anyone who would like to participate in the event for further details
I hope to hear from you soon
Kind regards
