If anone wants to apply for a Wikipedia Day rapid grant, the WMF deadline is Friday Nov 15 (tomorrow).

The format has changed slightly, I suggest this option fits best:

Here are some examples from last year that you are free to borrow from and remix:

https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Project/Rapid/L235/Stanford_Wikipedia_Day_2019
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Project/Rapid/Wikipedia_Day_Chicago_2019
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Project/Rapid/Wikipedia_Day_NC_2019

You can mention it will be promoted to the general public via the CentralNotice banner, and that you expect a large percentage to be newcomers, so this is not just a meetup, as they are not funding "meetups" per se anymore.

The amount is $500-2,000, you cannot ask for less, although sometimes people have written a grant to cover multiple smaller events.

If the form is not 100% complete Friday for some reason, it's still better to get it in before the deadline.

Thanks,
Richard
