Cascadia Wikimedians is currently registered as a nonprofit in Washington State. Our next step for fundraising purposes will be to register as a "charity" in Washington State. We have started this process with a request for relevant records from the state Attorney General's Office. After we receive a reply from the AGO, we can complete the remaining steps to become a charity under state law. Charity status will allow us to conduct fundraising activities among the general public in Washington State.
