Thanks for posting, Pine! I am glad the mailing list is now active, and it has been nice seeing a couple new supporters at the Wikimedia Cascadia page at Meta.I imagine Portland will be hosting a Wiknic, though I won't have time to work on that until I am further along with the Wiki Loves Pride campaign.Wiki Loves Pride is a global outreach initiative to improve LGBT-related content on Wikimedia projects. You can view details at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wiki_Loves_Pride_2014.If any Seattle residents want to work on any LGBT content (articles, photographs, etc.) during June, feel free to create a page for Seattle. Hosting an edit-a-thon on June 21 is welcome, but certainly not required. Even having a few people take pictures or upload free images from Flickr would be a huge help! Thanks for your consideration,JasonOn Sun, May 18, 2014 at 7:23 PM, ENWP Pine <deyntestiss@hotmail.com> wrote:
_______________________________________________Hello US Wikimedians,
I'm happy to announce the formation of the Wikimedia Cascadia mailing list, which serves the Oregon and Washington State Wikimedians. Please subscribe to the list if you are interested. [1] Wikimedia Cascadia is not an official Wikimedia thematic organization but we have regular events in Seattle and Portland.
June is coming soon, and that means Wiknic is almost here. Have you started planning? [2]
Cheers,
Pine
