Hmmm - sadly I don't think writing Wikipedia articles is what they have in mind when they say they want "significant experience working at an influential level in the media, whether broadcast, print or online" :)

Yup. Some of these boards will want to attract people who are members of a community (of the charity in question) but that will be explicit in the person specification.
