Hi all,
I've been trying to learn how the File Cleanup tool (
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/File_metadata_cleanup_drive/How_to_fix_meta…)
mentioned by Gordo a few days ago works. It looks like something which
would really be useful for both Commons and for smaller wikis -
standardising data would help the chapter the massively! It could be
something that the chapter could hold an event or competition around in
future - a "Great Backlog Drive" for 2015, like the one we ran in 2011 (cf
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Contribution_Team/Backlogs/Barnstars
).
Anyway, it's really interesting to see how it works, and I would encourage
you to all have a go at using it.
But to my point: I've fallen in love with it a bit, and tonight, when I get
home from work, I am going to have a crack at getting it set up on the
Welsh Wicipedia.
Does anyone fancy giving me a hand?
