Had a chat with Mike Peel, who has led on the UK meetup for the last few Wikimanias; he's not sure if he's going to be able to attend this year. WMUK supported the meetup last year, and we're happy to do so again - proposals for meetups are on a first-come-first-served basis, and go through the regular Programme submission process this year. I'm happy to put the proposal in - but before I do, has someone already done so / would like to lead on it, rather than the chapter? (they don't count toward the three-paper-limit for this year's event, just in case anyone's wondering)
Deadline for proposals is 1 March, I'll put something in tomorrow afternoon if I don't hear from anyone, just so we don't miss the slot.

Just to let you know that I've put in a proposal for a Wikimania meetup for UK & Ireland - the lovely folks at Wikimedia Community Ireland said that they'd be interested in having a joint session.
