Hi all,
Has anyone else seen the email from MySociety about the Gender Balance game they've created? See https://www.mysociety.org/2015/07/30/introducing-gender-balance-the-game-tha... for more about it.
It appears they also have a database which we may be free to upload to Wikidata...

I chatted with Mark when he was first appointed and told him to look at the Wikidata game as a reference :)

Excellent work Ed - great to see that gamification is addictive. The question now is, can we set up a bot to transfer it to Wikidata on a weekly (or whichever) basis?

Hi Richard,
I've been talking to EveryPolitician about this. Matching to Wikidata will pose something of a challenge but we're on it :-)

Hmmm wikidata doesn't appear to pick up on the category Nonexistent people used in hoaxes thus it thinks Kasongo Ilunga is real:
https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q1735013
He might be, possibly... although I'll grant you it's unlikely. I wonder if EveryPolitican records him?

Wikidata has a whole taxonomy of fictional persons and might-be-fictional people.

Hi all,
But there is fictional human and fictional character https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q95074 , but perhaps placeholder name https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q1318274 would be best in this context https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q95074
all the best

OK.
'Kasongo Ilunga' is now <instance of:human that may be fictional> which is <subclass of:character that may or may not be fictional> which is <subclass of:person>.
'human biblical character' is <subclass of:human that may be fictional>
'legendary character' is <subclass of:character that may or may not be fictional>
I think that works.
