Someone had some clever acronym based name for us last month, I can't remember what it was though. I suggested "WAG" for Wikipedia Advocacy Group, but "wag" perhaps has unfortunate connotations these days. Anyway, all suggestions are appreciated. Tom

Wiki Information Network (WIN) was the name discussed. Keep "Wikipedia" out of it, we'll trade under Wikimedia UK once we have a trademark agreement, but before that we should avoid the trademarks, I think.

That would be ok. Just so you know, "UK" is fine but "United Kingdom" (and similarly, "Britain" or "British") requires permission to be used in a business name. I expect we could get that permission, but it's an extra hoop to jump through.

Remember, we'll actually be trading under "Wikimedia UK", that's a requirement from WMF, so the name doesn't really matter.

BTW, is there a story behind the disolved "Wikimedia Ltd" company that anyone knows?

I didn't know there was one... interesting...
