Hello to All,
A quick note to thank Wikimedia UK and Dr. Martin Poulter https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:MartinPoulter#Writing_and_interviews_about_Wikipedia for the invitation to participate in the recent Wikimedia challenges. Thank you! It was an absolute pleasure to be involved. 🥳
I was delighted to learn about *UNESCO's Memory of the World *project. I see that the organisation has a call for nominations open until November 30! https://www.unesco.org/en/articles/call-nominations-unesco-memory-world-international-register-2026-2027-nomination-cycle?hub=1081

*Black British Archives* For any of you who are interested in Black British histories, the George Padmore Institute (GPI) https://www.georgepadmoreinstitute.org/about is a phenomenal resource with an open online archive.
*From their website: * "The Institute is an archive, educational research and information centre housing materials and documents relating mainly to black communities of Caribbean, African and Asian descent in post-war Britain and continental Europe."
I am currently one of two authors working on a fictional novel inspired by the archive. This project https://www.georgepadmoreinstitute.org/news-and-events/special-announcement-two-new-young-adult-novels-to-be-published-by-the-gpi-in-2026is an initiative to fill the gap in the market for British BIPOC youth.
Warm regards, Anna J. McIntyre
