Hello chums,
Why are some of my files on Commons being added to this Category?
[[Category:Media missing infobox template]]
Regards,
Gordo
It's for files that don't have https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:Information included on their page.
As I understand, there is a drive on commons to get this included on all images to help automate attribution etc...
Please correct me if I'm wrong!

I have added three templates today, for files that are several years old. Seems that the majority of my files have the required template.

You could do it with AWB, but you would need a list of all the licences used on cy-wp to do it properly, I think...

There are a number of files on cywiki which don't have a licence; is there a way I could tag / categorise these using AWB, or other? Can't find anything in 'Special Pages'. I don't think they have this problem on gh ga or ke, as most files they use are on Commons.

In my own case, all files had a licence. It was just the lack of an "infobox". Hence, the edit was quick and easy. All had a description, author, licence; I simply had to populate the template with that info.

Sadly it appears that the automatic tool only works in English. I've asked them to update it for other languages as it could really help unlock some treasures on other wikis. On 9 Dec 2014 09:38, "Gordon Joly" gordon.joly@pobox.com wrote:
