As many of you will be aware, this year has seen a lot of work across the global Wikimedia movement to develop a new strategy to 2030. A draft strategic direction was shared in August and discussed extensively by participants at Wikimania, and a newly articulated direction was published recently. As a member of the Wikimedia community the Foundation and the strategy team are keen to get your feedback so please do take a look at the strategy in its current form:
The Wikimedia UK board discussed the draft at a recent meeting and I have added comments to the talk page suggesting that education should be added to the statement of direction.
My understanding is that a final version of the strategic direction will be created and shared around the end of this month, and then the Foundation is hoping that as many individuals and groups as possible will endorse the strategy during October.
