Anyone else watch "The Good Fight",[1] the sequel to "The Good Wife" which I didn't get drawn into? The first series is showing on More 4, and episode 6, “Social Media and Its Discontents” which I saw earlier this week, was certainly one to get me shouting at the television.

An absurd plot, but it had a Chicago law firm acting as "ArbCom" in a ban appeal by an attention-seeking troll. Starting with the proposition that websites do have terms of service, I think I could teach a class on the whole business of online toxicity and "fake news" by critiquing the handling by the scriptwriters.

Seriously, I do suggest that "literacy" in these issues should not be left to TV.
