Used this for the first time at a training event yesterday, users were able to create new
pages / move their own drafts to main space, and no captchas, hurrah. Confirmed them just
for 1 day, was all very smooth.
The group were library staff from public libraries in Scotland, the event was one of a set
of advocacy workshops we’re doing across Scotland to encourage more library services to
engage with Wikimedia projects / open knowledge, through the Scottish Library &
Information Council Residency. Feedback was good!

Following changes which now disallow article creation by unconfirmed editors, a successful
RfC was held to establish a new permission, "Event Coordinator". Details are
at:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Event_coordinator
This permission will be very useful for all of our volunteers who are involved with events
and I'd encourage all of our regular trainers to apply for the permission at:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_permissions/Event_coor…
Please let me or Daria know if you encounter any problems with an application,or if
you're unsure of anything related to the rights.
Cheers
