Dear All, 

Today the second Wikimedia UK Intern has started working in our office. Hasina will be joining us for the next 6-7 weeks. She is just getting her email and account set up (hasina.khatun@wikimedia.org.uk), but in the meantime here is a hello message from her:

My first day at Wikimedia and i have to say i am very excited. I have just finished my role as a Gamesmaker during the Paralympics, which was a truely amazing experience. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to be involved in such a big event. I am now ready to be in work mode and keen to start my internship with Wikimedia. 

I have just graduated this summer, I studied Politics at Middlesex University and have had experience in many political institues such as Parliament, The London Assembly and a Think Tank Called Demos. Having experience from my past internships, I am really interested to see how Wikimedia function as a charity and still have such a big impact on spreading information just as successfully. I am looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible - just this week I am planning to attend the GLAMcamp in London.
