Burnout is a simple problem to resolve - you stand down and let someone else take over.
Which is what's happening!
On a general note, I think the chapter's plans are being implemented quite well. I do hope this progress continues at at least the current rate. Maintaining the current level of healthy participation and discussion (especially on-mailing list) will be key in working towards WER's short- and medium-term goals.
