Well, I liked all the bids. I asked a few questions on the public IRC
discussion. I was very happy with all the answers to my questions.
But of course, I was not on the panel.
In conclusion...do people not think the page should be started, or at
least "London" added to the Unofficial bids list? It looks odd, as we
were down to the final three for '07? I think someone officially from
Wikimedia UK should maybe add it <cough> David, Alison </cough>.

As I understand it, the Foundation wants to lengthen the leadtimes
(hence the bids going in now) but the UK Universities will only book
a venue about a year or less in advance (and confirm prices). This
was my experience when I contact Queen Mary, University of London.
And I don't think you should name induhviduals, Gary. You can launch
a bid, if you like... after all, there were bids before the
incorporation of Wikimedia UK.
