2nd April - Announcement: QRpedia donated to Wikimedia UK This was also pushed out as a press release to our media list a week later.
- 4th April - Open Educational Resources - some reflections on OER'13 This review of the OER'13 conference was written by Wikimedia UK Associate Dr Martin Poulter.

- 11th April - GLAMWiki preview: Nick Poole, Collections Trust, London This is the final GLAMWiki preview guest blog and was written for us by Nick Poole of the Collections Trust. Nick presented at the conference.
- 18th April - National Library of Scotland and Wikimedia UK to jointly appoint Wikimedian in Residence This post announced the beginning of the recruitment process for our first Wikimedian in Residence in Scotland.
- 22nd April - Wikimedia projects reach more than 500 million people per month This post was written by Sue Gardner, Executive Director of the Wikimedia Foundation and was originally published on the Foundation's blog. Reaching 500 million unique visitors to Wikimedia projects is a huge achievement and represents around 1 in every 14 people - of all people on the planet! - using a Wikimedia project in March 2013.
- 25th April - Jisc and Wikimedia UK to jointly recruit a Wikimedia Ambassador This post announced the beginning of the recruitment process our first education-focused long term residency project.
- 25th April - The Wikidata revolution is here: enabling structured data on Wikipedia This was written by Tilman Bayer, Senior Operations Analyst of the Wikimedia Foundation, and was originally published on the Foundation's blog.

This month, we received £220 in one-off donations, with 4 individual donations. The average donation amount was £55 - 75% of these donors have had Gift Aid Declarations made and matched with their records. If anyone would like a full (but anonymised) csv file with more information, please get in touch with katherine.bavagewikimedia.org.uk and let her know your requirements.
There were 4,963 successful direct debits this month, bringing in a total of £19,474.77
- Membership
Up to 30th April 2013:
- 189 new (membership commenced in preceding three months) and current members - with 8 new join-ups in April.
- 96 'grace' members (membership within six months after date membership should be renewed)
- This adds up to 285 members who were eligible to vote
