In some ways professionals are easier because they will have thought about IP issues and have a contract which means you negotiate with their manager rather than them individually. But on the downside they usually expect to be paid.

I know that some bell ringers do get appearance fees, I used to have a mate who did it as a side line.

There is also the issue of the composers rights, though of course some bell ringing will involve tunes that are long out of copyright.
