Dear all

Over the next year, the Wikimedia Foundation is going to be leading the development of a new long term strategy for the global Wikimedia movement. The wiki page on this is here:

https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Strategy/2016-2017

This is a key piece of work that Katherine Maher, the relatively new Executive Director for the Foundation, has been tasked with - and on a recent call with a number of other Chapters Katherine shared her presentation on the process for developing the strategy:

https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1B3BEolaGseBC4-JT1ANiygGhvyyfkH5ax6b8VjOnjCg/edit?usp=sharing

The sharing settings on this document mean that anyone with the link can edit, but please can you send any comments or questions to me rather than making changes to the presentation. We have another call with Katherine next Thursday so if you would like to feed in to the development of the process for the movement strategy, it would be great if you could get back to me before then so that I can collate and present feedback from the UK community (although I'm sure there will be other opportunities as well). There will of course be opportunities for feeding into the content of the strategy at a later date.

Thanks and best wishes
Lucy
