A researcher has got in touch as their Wikipedia biography has a COI banner on it. They came to us after someone speculatively emailed them offering to ‘fix’ the page for a fee.
In such cases, it is worth referring the enquirer to:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Scam_warning
which advises them how to report the matter.
