Thanks for doing this, Dan. (I got both emails, by the way.) I don't know much about pricings, but I think the rooms in Frankfurt were 3 (or was it 6?) k per day, so that Birmingham price seems pretty reasonable. It'd be nice to get a few of those prices for the lecture theatres so we can compare. Would it be an idea to get a rundown of this year's prices from the wikimania-l list? I've set up [[m:Wikimania 2005 - lessons learned]] which covers other areas but maybe there should be another page for finance info? The more info we can get in advance (and this goes for all other bids) the better chance we have of pulling it off as well or even better :)
