On most Wikimedia projects, this would be a reason to re-examine
sanctions. Wikipedia has the "standard offer" and a presumption of
reform;
it would be nice to see this positive way of thinking apply here,
rather than repeated enforcement of stereotypes.

In fairness, David Gerard, with whom I have corresponded on this matter, has explained where he sees his responsibility lying in this matter. In other news, it is good to see Fae's work on uploads being given due recognition.

It would be somewhat unusual for a dispute around the community to peter out just because good faith was recognised all round. But I feel I can commend the approach.
