Acabo de receber finalmente o email sobre o nosso pedido de subsídio que esperávamos desde o dia 30.

Felizmente, valeu a espera! Foi-nos concedido o subsídio, embora os gastos iniciais tenham que ser feitos por nós, já que eles requerem um comprovativo do nosso estado "non-profit", e isso só podemos adquirir após a legalização, que tem os seus custos, a sair dos nossos bolsos. Obviamente que esse gasto seria depois reembolsado quando viesse o subsídio.

Entretanto, eles acrescentam "if available", quando referem este documento. Ainda não e informei da natureza que tal comprovativo terá aqui em Portugal, se é que existe tal coisa. É caso a averiguar. Mas de qualquer modo, urge que avancemos com a legalização. Se bem me lembro, duas pessoas bastam para tratar disso, os estatutos estão prontos, pelo que falta apenas o dinheiro.

Pensei em fazermos uma lista de pessoas interessadas em contribuir (quantas mais pessoas, menos tem que contribuir cada uma), e depois juntar tudo para atingir o valor necessário (231€ se não estou em erro). Temos que tratar disso o quanto antes, pois quanto mais demorarmos a fazê-lo, mais demoramos consequentemente a receber o grant.

Congratulations!

Your proposal for Chapter Start-up was approved to receive a
Mission Activities Grant of USD $6000 from the Wikimedia Foundation
(WMF).

The award was reduced from the requested USD $7,909 to encourage a smaller budget for travel. If you would like to discuss ideas or concerns about your project, feel free to contact me and we can set up a time to discuss your activities.

In order to transfer the funds we will need the following information:

Proof of non-profit status (if available- outside US):
If in the US: Federal Tax ID# & Proof of non-profit status (ex: copy of
your IRS Determination letter ) required

Name and address to mail the check -OR-

Name on bank account:
Name and full address of banking institution:
Country where bank is located:
SWIFT code or ABA #
Type of currency that should be disbursed:
Account #

By accepting these funds, you are agreeing to the following reporting
requirements:

1)Receipts (or documentation) of all expenses that will paid or
reimbursed by this grant must be kept on file by the Project Lead in
case of the need for review of spending.

2)If you were able to achieve your proposed activity under budget, WMF
will require that you return unused funds or submit a request to
re-allocate the remaining funds to other mission activities.

3)A report (template attached) on the funded activities must be
submitted to the WMF within 3 months of the project end date submitted
on the proposal . The report must include:
an estimate of the impact on mission goals (such as Reach, Quality,
Credibility, and/ or Participation in Wikimedia's projects);
a summary of best practices and lessons learned

4)If the project requires extension past the estimated end date
submitted on the proposal, a project extension request must be submitted
within 3 weeks of the end date projected on the proposal.
