Thanks for putting this up.  This is a good step forward toward transparency for WMKE.

It's also a good time for all those listed as owing receipts to dig them up and get them to... (who's replacing Steve as interim treasurer?)

Hello Folks!

After today's meet-up that was fruitful I wish to take on my action item that requires a proper audit of the spending of our chapter. To make the process open to everyone (even those w/o access to Gdocs) , I have created a Wiki Page on the chapter Wiki  [1].

I highly recommend that we use the discussion page [2] to ask questions/clarifications that are not ultimately clear from the list of items I have given.

Thanks,
Stephen.

So from today's meetup, we came to the following resolutions:

   - *Finance Audit*: *Steve* is to provide an expense sheet of our
finances so far for scrutiny by the members. He'll be in touch shortly with
   more details on that.
   - *Chapter Registration*: As of now, this is a *high priority* matter
for the Chapter. There were some pending matters with the lawyer so I'm (
*Alex*) to meetup with Abbas (who was overseeing this process) next week
so that he can hand over this responsibility to me. Updates coming up next
week after I meet the lawyer - we aim to register latest by end of 2012
   - *Membership structure*: as of now, we don't have a definite way to
tell who is a member and who isn't. So we settled on starting a new
membership drive to come up with structures of registering members and get
out an officla list of the same. *Bruce* will be driving discussions
around this and should be in touch shortly. -latest by end of 2012
   - *Board Status*: Normal operations of the chapter will from now
henceforth be run by chapter members until we have set structures up and
running and an official list of registered members seeing that it's not the
best time to carry out a board elections
   - *Projects*: The Chapter will not be actively following up on any
projects until the above structures are set. But it is highly encouraged
for chapter members to continue doing so at an individual level until the
time which WMKE will be in a position to do so.

>From today's meeting, I can now say that we are moving towards getting
things on the right track and hope for a much better year in starting 2013.
best,
Alerx

Hey Dennis,

So far only you and Limoke took a vote to have it tomorrow. As of the pad
I created, the extra person listed there is Bruce. I really think we should
have the meetup tomorrow from around 11:30. I'll make some calls and update
you by 10 am.

I want to believe that if we had the structures in place ,the unfortunate incident will not have occurred ,i call upon WMKE members to rededicate themselves to the activities of this young chapter , to the board, registration of WMKE is long overdue ,an audit of the expenditure is required & finally the issue of joint account .
